New Camera Learning Curve

So in my infinite quest to engage in acts of unnecessary commerce I bought a new DSLR, a Nikon D850. By some accounts it is the gold standard of DSLR’s. I am definitely punching above my photographic weight!
I bought a new DSLR, rather than the new envogue mirrorless, because I already owned a substantial collection of DSLR lenses. Before buying my new camera I made sure that the old lenses were compatible with the new camera. They were so I pulled the trigger. WHile waiting for the new camera to arrive I continued my reading. Yes, the old lenses would work, but they would not take advantage of the larger sensor in the new camera! If that was true I had 2 choices. I could either return the new camera once I received it or I could buy all new lenses that will take advantage of the large sensor. Any guesses?
This camera, with the new lenses, is lightning fast! It’s a bit heavier than my D7200, which means that even with image stablization an vibration reduction I’m going to have to work on holdong steady. The new larger sensor is going to make taking photos in low light settings much more possible.
So the learning curve is steep, but I have time…
